The past few weeks have brought a handful of new projects to work on. Most recently finished are two posters; one for the Mighty Midwest Snowboard Camp Tour and one for the Shred Circuit. Be sure to check both of these events out as they are both going to be a lot of fun. The MMW Camp Tour is all about teaching kids how to have fun on their snowboards. Every camper leaves with an arm full prizes after 2 days of shredding with the guest pro coaches. If the Camp is not for you it’s all good because the Shred Circuit is for everyone and both events travel together. Carrying over the same kind of energy and fun from the Camp Tour, the shred circuit is a contest series not to be missed. One winner from each stop will be flown to Winter Park Colorado to compete in the finals.
Fresh from my editing studio, aka our spare bedroom at the foot of the Rockie Mountains, is an cut of some fun summer shred. Every week myself and the So-Gnar crew pile into Pat’s truck and roll up to Copper for a day of snowboarding, skating and fun! Then in the evenings we get all the campers together for a ‘creative session’ on some choice features and stoke them out with some free swag. Check out the summer fun, more to come!
I have been working with both So-Gnar and FireHouse for the past couple years now and it’s surprise something like this hasn’t happened sooner. Preparing for future collaborations both crews got together and headed up into the mountains for a chance to stack some photo’s with photographer Chris Faronea. Lurking behind the scenes I was able to gather some really good shots and combined them with some footy from Ian Winters of FireHouse to create an edit that captured the day. While there are no photo’s here on the blog, keep your eyes open for them in shred mags this coming year as these two companies look to continue to do work together. In the meantime, enjoy the edit!
Spring time you say? Almost summer you say? Time to shred we say!
Fortunately for us, the Rockie Mountains are in our back yard. So one fine spring morning a crew of Brook Corning(father), Chris Corning(son), Pat Milbery and myself decided it was time to get our snowboard fix. With shovels in hand and the barrels welded(thanks Tony), the day was ripe for a good session. Check out the fun and beware the trickery!
For a month I was on the road, traveling the Midwest with a revolving crew of shred heads from all over North America for the Mighty Midwest Snowboard Camp Tour. Bringing with us our passion for snowboarding to share with as many kids as possible, we made stops starting in Colorado continuing into the Midwest hitting Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. All told, there where 8 stops with 2 days at each camp. Without fail, at every stop I was amazed by not only the talent, hunger and passion of all the kids who showed up, but also by the wonderful hospitality shown to us by families, friends and strangers alike.
For the tour I was the video guy, part of “Team Media” including myself and photographer Terry “The Rat” Ratzlaff. For every day of camp I would produce, film and edit a video short for the tour sponsor SoGnar. For those of you doing the math, that’s roughly 16 edits. Of course, none of it would have been possible without everybody who was involved the tour, a huge thanks to all of you!
The edits in this post are a few of my favorites, if you enjoy them be sure to check out the rest of them!
DAY 2 AT BUCK HILL, MINNESOTA
DAY 1 TYROL BASIN, WISCONSIN
DAYS 1 AND 2 AT RAGING BUFFALO, ILLINOIS
DAY 1 CANNONSBURG, MICHIGAN
So the photo’s are in from Seattle and the “Bird Cup” has definitely found a few walls somewhere. Thanks so much to Pat and So-Gnar for sending the photo’s, crazy good textures and bold too. It’s crazy to see what white space does in a chaotic environment. Hopefully there will be some more street art “sightings” before the snow flies.
I’ve been on the road a bit recently and have definitely been keeping busy. For a the better part of a week I was running around northern Minnesota with some of the Red Bull athletes including So-Gnar’s Pat Milbery. Things with that crew where pretty crazy and tons of fun. Then it was off to Los Angeles to cover the X-Games again with Pat and also for Street Factory Media. Well, I finally caught my breath and have finished up 2 edits. The first is of some more Copper Woodward Camp fun, complete with wrecks and giveaways. The second, features Pat and some of the camp coaches like Erich Dummer, throwing down on the Jump under a blue summer sky.
IT’S ALL FUN AND GAMES – WOODWARD AT COPPER EDIT

Hope you enjoyed those edits, there are plenty more to come. The X-Games edit is in the mix, as we speak the Minnesota and Woodward footage is logged and waiting. I’m also finishing work on a interview layout for Arkade Magazine that I’m supper hyped on. Check back soon, there’ll be plenty to see.
